Your April Full Moon Reading 2023

Full moon at dawn over snowy pink mountains

On the 6th of April, the Full Moon will be in Libra, an Air Sign.

It’s the first Full Moon of the new astrological year and after the spring equinox.

This Full Moon is known as the pink moon by the Farmers Almanac, named after a delicate pink flower phlox subulata that blooms in spring in North America.

A Full Moon in Libra

Libra is the sign of balance and relationships; not surprisingly, Libra’s ruling planet is Venus.

It asks you to look at your life for balance & harmony with yourself and your relationships.

So yes, balance is a key theme right now along with making decisions that are right for you.

We’ve all experienced times we’ve made a decision and it’s left us feeling a bit off, a bit out of sorts, or a niggling feeling that something isn’t right.

It’s because that decision was not aligned with your values or what you truly desire. And it leaves you feeling out of balance.

Or maybe it’s the indecision that’s creating the uncertainty. Is there something that’s weighing on your mind that you need to address?

Take a few minutes now to sit in stillness and feel into your body, mind and soul.

As your thoughts flow in, are there any moments in the last few weeks or months that didn’t feel right?

What decisions need to be made or re-made so that you can bring your mind, body & soul back into balance?

If this is your first time, tuning in and listening to your body, you may have to do this quite a few times before you receive an answer.

I find it helps to write down any messages or answers you receive then spend time reflecting and journaling on them.

How I’m bringing more balance

I like to think I’m pretty good when it comes to self-care practice.

I mean I would hope so considering the work that I do!

But, within the last week I had the realisation that whilst my daily self-care practices are serving me, I still feel I’m missing something.

Thinking about it now, it was probably a nudge from this April Full Moon to bring more balance into my life.

As I was tidying up, I came across an A4 notebook and inside it had pages of notes and post-it-notes.

One on page of post-it-notes it listed all the things I wanted to do to support my self-care & overall wellness.

Things like, movement, Reiki, nature, writing, reading, meditations etc

And it was then I realised, I was doing all of these things but I was doing them.

What I really needed now and wanted, was for someone else to do some of them for me so I could fully relax and switch off.

So, I’ve booked onto a Sound & Meditation Healing evening in April and I can’t wait!

I’ve wanted to experience sound healing for a while now (I added it to my vision board earlier in the month) and with the realisation that I need space to heal & continue my own healing journey, it made absolute sense to book on.

I’m making a pact with myself to invest in one new healing experience a month to help bring balance into my life, so if you have any recommendations fire them my way!

Tarot Guidance

The Hermit is about soul-searching, introspection, being alone, and inner guidance.

And I feel this is the way to find true balance & inner harmony.

You may wish to look at your relationships, motivations or personal values and get closer to your authentic self.

Use The Hermit’s guidance to seek solitude, dig deep and find answers.

The Hermit can also appear when you’re at a pivotal point in your life.

Perhaps you’re considering a change of direction, a new relationship or changing to a more balanced life.

I know change can be exciting and scary.

If at any point self-doubt creeps in, grab a pen & notebook and journal on those thoughts, find out where they are coming from and if they are true.

Or, if you prefer to talk it out, talk to someone you trust that can lend a balanced ear.

Things to explore under this Full Moon

So grab a pen, notebook and start exploring with these journal prompts;

-What does balance mean to you?

-Where in your life do you want more balance?

-How is your relationship with yourself?

-Are there any relationships or people in your life that drain your energy? What can you do about this?

-Are there people in your life that make you feel great? How can you attract more people like this?

Once you have your answers, you get to choose what, if any, you’d like change, release, let go or leave behind.

Your Key Phrase for this Libra Full Moon is;

I bring balance to my mind, body & soul through… (complete the sentence)

Until next time,
