The Moon & You

Do you get a week in the month where your energy levels are sky-high, you’re beyond productive, inspiration is firing in from all angles, and you’re constantly saying to yourself, ‘i just need to finish this last bit…’

Or maybe your week is more emotionally intense, you don’t know why you feel so low, that advert just made you cry, and you’re clumsier than usual?

We (women) tend to blame our hormones; whether it’s PMS or perimenopause/menopause etc., the rollercoaster is REAL.

But, another feminine entity that we must remember that also influences us is the moon.

The highs & lows of our energy & emotions can be attributed to the moon’s energy & power, especially during a Full Moon, when the moon is at its biggest & brightest.

Throw in our natural hormones, too, and we can be in for a rough ride.

Learning to work with the moon

However, we can learn to track and work with the moon’s cycles and literally take our power back and prepare for the Full Moon.

After all, being highly productive and energised for a week may seem great, but what happens the following week? (Probably a massive energy slump and burnout.) The good news is that you can learn to slow down, be in flow and honour your mind & body’s needs.

And you can start with the moon cycles and knowing when the Full Moon is coming up, which zodiac sign she falls in and which planet rules the sign. If she’s in your sign, expect to feel it all the more…watch out, Capricorns, she’s coming for you…

Today’s (13th July 2022) Full Moon is a supermoon, so if you’re lucky enough to see her, she’ll appear slightly larger and brighter than other full moons.

She falls in Capricorn, ♑an Earth Sign; Earth signs tend to be stable, grounded, and practical. Capricorn’s ruling planet is Saturn, which represents responsibility, hard work and determination.

BUT this isn’t about doing more; this is about creating a work-life balance and limiting stress.

⚖️Bringing back the balance.
🧘🏻‍♀️Being stable and grounded in your foundations

Which reminds me, how’s your self-care lately?

Self-Care is the ultimate foundation for all of us. 💗

🔋We can’t pour from an empty cup.
🔋We only have so much fuel in the tank.
🔋Put your oxygen mask on first…

So under this full moon, ask yourself;

What do you absolutely have to do today, tomorrow, this week or month, and what can you delegate, drop or move on?

The Hanged Man

As you can see, the image depicts a man hanging upside down from a T-shaped tree. He is hanging from one leg only, the other is crossed behind him, and his hands are crossed behind his back; he actually looks quite relaxed, just hanging there, relaxing, pausing and thinking. His hair is white (our intuition & connection to our higher self), and a yellow glow is around his head, almost like he has new ideas or insight, but he’s not ready to act on them yet. The tree has sprouted some leaves, but it is not yet full.

The Hanged Man is reminding you to take the pause and find the balance now because if you don’t, it will be forced on you; whether that’s an abrupt end to a work project, an illness or something else that stops you right in your track, so you have no other option but to pause.

If you’re highly intuitive, you’ll have recognised this need for a pause or re-balance and may already be taking it. However, if your intuition needs nurturing, now is the time to pause, be silent and listen to what you are being guided to do.

Release & let go under the Full Moon

And finally, Full Moons are a time to release & let go of anything that’s no longer serving you or holding you back.

So once you have explored and re-balanced your work-life, pause & reflect to see what you can release and let go of.

➡️What is no longer serving you (people, projects, feelings, thoughts)?
➡️What was creating the imbalance?
➡️How can you be sure it won’t creep back in again?
➡️What boundaries do you need to put in place to maintain this new phase?

Use a notebook or journal to gain clarity on anything that comes up or talk to a close friend or family member.

As always, be gentle with yourself, re-balancing, pausing & reflecting under this Capricorn Full Moon ✨🌕
