What is Spiritual Wellness?

I’m often asked, what is Spiritual Wellness?

The word spiritual means something different to each person.

So I thought I’d have a go at explaining what it means to me and how it weaves it’s magic throughout my life and business…

What Spiritual Wellness means to me

If you subscribe to my newsletter you’ll know I ran a workshop in March 2023 and I said it’s a spiritual one because you’ll be introduced to cyclical living, goddesses, energy healing, journaling & setting intentions with the universe.

It’s also spiritual because I can show you how to work with Oracle & Tarot cards. And how they can help you work through overwhelming thoughts, and anxiety and reach your goals…

I consult my oracle & tarot cards on a weekly (sometimes daily basis if I’m really struggling!) to see what messages & guidance they bring.

The messages, I believe, come from my intuition, my subconscious, my higher self and spirit guides…

It may sound like a lot of different people giving guidance but, I believe they are all one.

Just as in Reiki, we’re taught we are all one – the universe, people, nature – we’re all connected – so too do the messages come from the same source – it’s up to what name you give it.

And the messages always help.

Even if I don’t like what they say (three of swords, the Tower, Death…) when I dig deep, listen to my intuition and am honest with myself; I get the guidance I seek.

Reiki, Journaling, Oracle cards, connecting with my higher self, working with natures cycles are spiritual tools to support my overall self-care and wellness.

Reiki is a spiritual healing technique and what’s interesting about Usui’s Reiki is that it’s all about healing oneself first.

Usui took himself off to a mountain for 21 days in search of enlightenment. He wanted to be bothered by nothing and find inner peace – and wow did he find it.

It was here he discovered how to channel the universal energy, develop the precepts and self-heal.

And that’s what level one Reiki is all about – learning how to self-heal, mindfulness, living the precepts and being present.

Because we must focus & learn how to heal ourselves first.

We must practice self-care.

But, it wasn’t until I began practicing Reiki and started talking about my struggles with self-care, self-worth, self-belief and all the other pre-fix ‘selfs’ following a redundancy three years ago; that I realised I wasn’t alone and that other women needed help too.

They needed to feel and know that they are worthy of time for themselves

That they don’t have to feel guilty or judged for wanting time for them.

And that they/YOU are the creators of their own time.

but i feel selfish for taking time for me…

I get it, I’ve been there.

Self-care can sometimes feel selfish, especially if you’re a busy working parent.

You generally put other people’s needs first.

You have responsibilities and don’t see self-care as something you need to do, it’s something you do if you can find the time, which you rarely do because you put other people’s needs first!

You wait until things explode, the cherry on the cake situation; overwhelming feelings kick in and feelings of frustration & tears, shouting & stress, anxiety or depression take over.

And you become so exhausted that the simplest of tasks feel like climbing Kilimanjaro five times.

This needs to stop.

And it can stop.

You just need to say Yes to YOU and Spiritual Wellness…

So, tell me, are you ready to say Yes to You?

Then book a spiritual treatment today.

Until next time,
